Considering
that those who live in this area are from somewhere else,, it should not

Chris
Martin is a local artist in the tri-county area who is originally from a small
town in
The influence of the different cities and artists that have influenced him is evident in his music.
Chris plays a numerous amount of styles with his acoustic guitar ranging from blues, pop, alternative, country, hip-hop, Spoken Word, and he has even recently recorded his first Bosa Nova piece!
He is still pretty young (only 22) and his youthful energy ignites each performance. He sings with an element of charisma that is undeniably infused into each and every piece of music. Each time is fresh and new, as if it was the first time he sang those words and played that tune. And yet, at the same time, his style is relaxed and professional, as if he has been entertaining for years.
That’s because he doesn’t just perform, he entices the audience to listen, and beckons them to hear the stories that he tells…like an Irish born gypsy skillfully coaxing those to listen to his newfound discoveries with his song.
He strives to be like some of his favorite artists (BECK, Frank Zappa, Eminem, Weezer and others) who are not afraid to incorporate different styles and try new things.
The most amazing part about the incredible range of styles that he performs is that he portrays them as well as, if not at times better then the original artists. And what was even more startling to me is his original music. Again it is highly influenced by an assortment of styles, but it is often better then the “cover songs” that he performs.
Chris seems to feel comfortable entertaining just about anywhere from coffee houses to outdoor concerts, and because of his array of styles and energy, he seems to please just about any crowd.
